John Eugene Quinlan
From the Quinlan Reunion album:
John Eugene Quinlan fourth child of Edward William Quinlan and Anna Monroe was born on August 1, 1929 in San Francisco, California. John attended local schools. John met Verna Pinneo a friendly girl in San Francisco and they married on July 5, 1952 and had their first daughter Rhonda Quinlan. They moved to San Jose and there they had their second daughter Ginger Quinlan. It was in San Jose that John and Verna got involved with the American Kennel Club and began to raise German Shepherd dogs for show. John had a beautiful dog, named Jocko. John was easy going and held various jobs, one being a maintenance man at his daughters’ high school. Colette remembers buying a set of CUTCO utensils that he was selling back in the 60’s and she still uses them today. John was a very good hearted, friendly, gentle man and was always eager to be helpful to everyone. John liked keeping in touch with family, even those that were far away and would often send letters. John died in Oregon on October 15, 1998 in Canby, Oregon with his loving family by his side.
