Pierre Charron I was born about 1450. His occupation was a merchant furrier. His child was Pierre Charron II.
Charron, French: metonymic occupational name for a maker of carts, from OF charron cart (L carro, gen. carronis, a deriv. of carrum cart; cf. Carman).
