Augusto, son of Antonio (Tony) Mandras, was born in 1922 and died in 2001. He appears in the California Death Index. Luigi Ruffini remembers him; they lived in Farmington. When Luigi was 10, 12, 14, he and his family used to go from South San Francisco to visit them on vacation.

August P. "Gus" Mandras, 78, of
Stockton died Sunday in a hospital. He was born in San Francisco and lived in
Stockton for 70 years. Mr. Mandras was a bartender for approximately 25 years
and was last employed at the Minnow Club for 15 years. He was a former member
of Native Sons of the Golden West and the Stockton Rod and Gun Club. Mr. Mandras
was married for 57 years.
Survivors: wife, Emelie Mandras
of Stockton; children, Joyce Ann Wright and Larry Paul Mandras, both of Stockton;
brother, John Mandras of Stockton; four grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters.
Services: vigil, 6:30 p.m. today,
DeYoung Memorial Chapel, 601 N. California St.; funeral, 11 a.m. Thursday in
