Sassari death records shown at right record the death in Santa Caterina parish in 1793 of a Ioannes Ruffino son of [[Girolamo Ruffini]] of Naples and Maria Caterina Pinna. Since Girolamo's wife was Maria Caterina Muchedda, and since her married name was Pinna, we may presume that for Maria Caterina Pinna the death records meant [[Maria Caterina Muchedda]] and that this Ioannes was the son of the painter from Naples.

Walter Schoeneberger (personal communication) writes "Al momento della sua morte, Giovanni 'Ajutante' dell' Infanteria Miliziana a Sassari. La notizia ho tratto da ASCS, b.42, fasc. 3. Potrebbe rivelarsi interessante stabilire le cause della sua morte, visto che si trattava degli anni immediatamente dopo la Rivoluzione Francese. Giovanni aveva

Walter Schoeneberger (personal communication) writes "Al momento della sua morte, Giovanni 'Ajutante' dell' Infanteria Miliziana a Sassari. La notizia ho tratto da ASCS, b.42, fasc. 3. Potrebbe rivelarsi interessante stabilire le cause della sua morte, visto che si trattava degli anni immediatamente dopo la Rivoluzione Francese. Giovanni aveva diviso con la sorella i beni lasciati dal padre nel 1787 (AA.NN. Sass. città, copie, 1787 I, 622)."
