In the 1880 Ozieri marriage records, item 59 records the marriage of Antonio Francesco Ruffinu Culeddu, a 25-year-old contadino from Ozieri, to Maddalena Corosu Masudda, Marudda ("Little Moor") or Maredda, a 23-year-old casalinga from Ozieri. Giovanni Corosu, 24, bracciante, is one of the witnesses. Children from this marriage include Pietruccia Ruffinu, Giovanni Ruffinu (b. 1882), Matteo Ruffinu, Pietro Ruffinu (d. 1885), Pietro Ruffinu (d. 1888), and Caterina Ruffinu.

Antonio Francesco is the son of Giovanni (Giuseppe Salvatore) Ruffinu and Mattia Culeddu. The Ozieri church archives record his baptism in 1855 (see right).

-Antonio Francesco is described therein as the son of the late Giovanni Ruffinu and the living Mattia Culeddu. Because of the discrepancy of names (Giovanni versus [[Giuseppe Salvatore Ruffinu]]), I am not certain that Antonio belongs listed here as a son of Giuseppe Salvatore Ruffinu. Is he perhaps the product of Mattia's earlier marriage to another Ruffinu, perhaps Giuseppe's brother? It seems certain, however, that he shared a mother, [[Mattia Culeddu]], with Giuseppe Salvatore's other son, Giovanni Maria Ruffinu. Antonio Francesco's children are, therefore, cousins of [[Giovanni Ruffini]].
