Pietruccia was born on 27 April 1889 and died on 6 March 1973. She married Francesco Gioia. She is not one of the children of Antonio Francesco Ruffinu and Maddalena Corosu known from the Ozieri microfilm rolls. Rather, her relation is established by her listing in the Ozieri cemetry records. Those records describe her as daughter of a Francesco and Maddalena Corrosu.

Julio Ruffini reports on March 21, 2007: "Pietruccia Gioia Ruffinu, I met her. Zia [Maria Camboni] took me by when I first went, met her and her husband. They had a photo with a lit candle for their son who had been killed in an auto accident, I think." Julio is here refering to his first visit to Ozieri in 1965.

We relearned of her existence by meeting her son-in-law, Achille Deledda, in Ozieri in March 2007, who showed us her tomb.

If I understood Achille correctly, the building shown in the picture was her house, and was sold by her son. It is the corner of Via Cirenaica in Ozieri. In the Ozieri microfilm rolls, one of Pietruccia's siblings, Pietro, was born in a house on Via Vignazza, like my Ruffini ancestors. The street number was 50 or 80, depending on the reading. Could this house have been 50 or 80 Vignazza? Is it possible to compare old street maps to see if Cirenaica used to be Vignazza? Or did Vignazza simply apply to the whole neighborhood?
