Harry Bradfield

Harry was born in November 1896, per his entries in the federal census. Those entries gives his place of birth as California and that of his parents as Indiana and Missouri.

The 1900 census shows a family of four with three boarders living in San Benito, California: Elias H. Bradfield; Fannie; and their sons Homer Q. Bradfield and William H., whose birth is given as November 1986. Elias and both of his parents were born in Indiana. Fannie and both of her parents were born in Missouri.

The 1930 federal census shows three residents at 3100 Jewett: William H. (head; contractor; oil and water ???); Marie C. (wife); Mildred L. Bradfield (daughter).

The Kern County 1934-1936 voter registration rolls (Bakersfield no. 23) record three registered Democrats at 3100 Jewett in Bakersfield: Mrs. Marie C. (housewife); W. Harry (Drilling Contr.); and William H. (Well Drlng Contr.).

The 1940 federal census shows three residents at the same address, 3100 Jewett: Wm. H. (head; contractor; oil and water well drilling); Marie C. (wife); Mildred L. (daughter).

Harry marries Leona Jane Neer in Tulare on 25 April 1960.

The Social Security Death Index lists a William Bradfield (SSN: 550-20-1016) living at 93017 Fillmore, Ventura, California, born 7 November 1896, dying in May 1977. The California Death Index lists a William Bradfield, same SSN, born 8 November 1896, dying 10 May 1977, in Santa Barbara. He is buried at the Greenlawn Memorial Park, and his gravestone is online here.
