My name is Giovanni Roberto Ruffini. If you've come to this website, it's probably because you're related to me through my mother, Charlotte Ann Quinlan; my father, Giulio Laurenzo Ruffini; or my wife, Yelena Mikhailovna Sorokina. If so, you're welcome to start adding to and editing this site, but I'll need to set you up with a user account first. To do so, or if you have any further questions, email me at grr919@gmail.com.

Throughout this site, some entries use the first-person ("I" or "we") to describe certain information. This is usually me talking. When it is someone else, I have tried to explain who is talking. If this seems confusing in some places, let me know, and I can try to make the material more clear.

Material on this website has been written by our Quinlan cousin Terri Vance; our Sardinian cousin Joelle Ballonzoli; and Yelena's relative Nelli Medvinsky. Oral history and archival research published on this website has been collected by Peggy Reins; Yelena Sorokina; and my parents Charlotte and Giulio.

Pages that are assigned to the "Ancestors" category designate anyone who is a direct ancestor of either me or my wife Yelena. If you see someone whose name is marked with an asterisk (*), this person is also an ancestor of one of us. I have added the (*) symbol as an easy way to click through a single line of ancestry from the beginning.
