The "Remote Ancestors" category includes people who we have not researched ourselves, as opposed to people in the "Ancestors" category, whose entries we have researched and written ourselves. We include information about the "Remote Ancestors" we have obtained in bulk from other sources (e.g. the Bowlby Family Organization or French-Canadian genealogical collections) without verifying the material first-hand.
