 "Harold Edward “Bob” Quinlan third son of Edward William and Anna Monroe was born on January 1, 1909 in Saint Marys, Kansas.  Bob traveled to California with his parents and lived in Bakersfield and then San Francisco.  Bob met his one true love, Leona “Jane Neer” and they  married on November 8, 1936.  Bob and Jane became the parents of two dear and beautiful daughters Charlotte and Lee.  Their marriage ended early and affected him greatly.  That “Irish” trait???  Bob also tended to enjoy a pint or two a little too often like his older brother George.  Bob held various jobs during the years.  He worked in hospitals and hotels, and as a deliveryman.  He once took his niece Colette and nephew Richard along for the ride. The brother and sister always enjoyed his company because he was so fun to be with.  Bob liked movies and loved to talk about the beautiful movie stars.  Later in his life he became good friend of his niece Colette’s husband Richard Flores.  Bob died in Bakersfield on February 13, 1960.  Bob and Jane’s wedding guest book contains the signature of “Belle Quinlan Grandma”. Jane later told her daughter Charlotte about a nice old French speaking woman who attended her and Bob’s wedding… Our Belle Guyette Quinlan of course!!"

His highest education completed is listed as the 8th grade. Jane's I cannot read; it appears to say H4. She is not listed as working.
