His niece [[Mary Margaret (Peggy) Neer|Peggy]]'s letter describing that entry says the place code is Los Angeles. That source gives his name as Claude.  (Lee Neer spells it Claud in his own diary.) According to Peggy's letter, the date of his death in this record is August 7, 1925. There is an obvious contradiction here between the given date of his death and the newspaper evidence implying him alive at a later date. I cannot now verify Claude's date of death at all.
