Pierre Charron
Pierre Charron, son of Pierre Charron Dit Ducharme and Judith Martin, was born c. 1635 in St-Martin DE..., France, and died on 25 December 1700 in Montréal, Québec at age 65, and was buried on 26 Dec 1700 in Montreal, Queeec, Canada.
From Jette - Pierries Father was a maitre Megissur. Both his mother and father were confirmed May 1664 in Montreal.
From "Les Pioneers de Longueuil" by Falardeau - Pierre arrived at Ville Marie in the heart of autumn 1662. He was enrolled in the 20th brigade of Sainte Famille de Jesus Marie Joseph.
On 21 Jul 1666 he was given a concession of 30 acres. This land started at the street of Boucherville going 2 acres east. The church of Lonjue Pointe was situated on part of this concession. After selling his land, he and his family went to live on the south of the Saint Laurent River.
On Oct 14, 1675 he bought from Pierre Dardaine, 60 acres on the I’lle Sainte Anne, with cabins and barns and 4 or 5 cultivated acres.
He went to Longueuil at the end of autumn 1680.
He owned the future famous "Plains of Abraham".
