Pauline E. Neer
Appears in the 1920 census entry in Los Angeles under her father Paul Neer and her mother Fay. Judging from that entry, she was born in Colorado circa 1906.
She next appears in the 1930 census (Carryall, Paulding, Ohio) as a granddaughter of Harry and Ella Higinbotham in Ohio. She is the correct age, and was born in Colorado. This presumably means that both her parents had died, and that Fay's maiden name was Higinbotham. The objection is that the entry lists her father's birth-place as California. However, the attested "H" initial in her mother's name would support this identification, as her mother's maiden name.
Charlotte Ann Quinlan remembers that Pauline might have ended up as a school teacher in Florida, and that her mother Leona Jane Neer kept in touch with Pauline when she was in Florida.
