Bryan Bowlby (son of Richard Bowlby (d. 1652), John, John, Richard) died on 21 Nov 1696 in Mansfield Woodhouse, Nottinghamshire, England.

Baptism: 17 Nov 1633, Helmsley, North Riding, Yorkshire, England.

Bryan married Elizabeth Manners on 6 Oct 1659 in Helmsley, North Riding, Yorkshire, England. Elizabeth died on 26 Nov 1669 in Mansfield Woodhouse, Nottinghamshire, England.

Marriage Notes:

Before the birth of their first child in 1662, Bryan and Elizabeth moved to Mansfield Woodhouse, a small community at the edge of Sherwood Forest and just north of Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. It is open to speculation whether this move was motivated by Elizabeth’s possible relationship to the Manners family which held two manors at Helmsley from 1532 along with the titles of Earl of Rutland, and Baron de Ros, since the 6th Earl of Rutland and 18th Baron de Ros was Warden of Sherwood Forest and Constable of Nottingham Castle.

Their children:

Richard Bowlby (son of Bryan Bowlby and Elizabeth Manners).

Bryan Bowlby (son of Bryan Bowlby and Elizabeth Manners).

Thomas Bowlby was born before 16 Sep 1665 in Mansfield Woodhouse, Nottinghamshire, England, was christened on 16 Sep 1665 in Mansfield Woodhouse, Nottinghamshire, England, and died between 23 Feb 1730 and 18 Mar 1731 in Burlington, West New Jersey Province, USA.
