Agnes was the daughter of Claude (Claud) Neer and Belle. She married Vane Baker.

The Agnes Neers appearing in the 1910, 1920, and 1930 censuses are not her.

The December 20, 1925 issue of what I take to be the Douglas Daily Dispatch (Douglas, AZ) records Miss Agnes Neer returning home from University of Arizona Tuscon to spend Christmas vacation with her parents and grandparents. Does this imply that Claude was still alive?

"Agnes Nier" is listed in "The '26 Desert" as a member of the sophomore class of the University of Arizona.

The Agnes Neer appearing in the 1930 census in North Dakota is not her either.

The only Agnes Neer in the SSDI is a possibility, but would be a shade young for someone in college in 1925. (IN college in 1925?!?) That would be: Name: AGNES NEER SSN: 287-52-2474 Last Residence: 44124 Cleveland, Cuyahoga, OH Born: 21 May 1908 Last Benefit: Died: Aug 1974 State (Year) SSN issued: OH (1968 )

If this did prove to be her, re-consult the additional information in the Ohio Death Registry.

Charlotte Ann Quinlan remembers Agnes, and remembers disliking her. Agnes and her husband used to visit her cousin Leona Jane Neer in Bakersfield. Charlotte has the vague impression that there was some sort of family rivalry or snobbery stemming from the fact that Agnes had married well, and Jane had not. Agnes was wealthy through her husband, but Charlotte says that they definitely had no children. Peggy confirms this, saying that Jane could get along with anyone, but that Agnes put her down, was a snob, and married money.
