Maria was, with her cousin "in secondo grado" Francesca Ruffino, one of the Nule centenarian Ruffino. The picture of her gravestone at right was taken in Nule in 2007.
Her birth appears in entry 11 of the 1883 Nule civil rolls, where she is described as the daughter of Giovanni Gerolamo Ruffino, a 39-year old agricoltore, and Giovanna Maria Sanciu.
We met her granddaughter in Nule in 2007 through Don Cossu.
